2019/12/13
LONDON, UK – The Nissan Navara (updated for 2019) has been named "Pick-up of the Year' in the 2020 4X4 Magazine Awards, the market-leading publication for automotive off-roading.
Alan Kidd, editor of 4x4 Magazine, said; "The Navara has always been one of the best pick-ups on the market. And now, thanks to a comprehensive set of technical updates for the current model year, it has gone a step further."
"The facelifted Navara looks much like it did before. But with revised engines, a sublime new manual gearbox and improvements to its brakes, suspension and steering, it's stronger in almost every area."
Andrea Patti, LCV manager, Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd. commented; "We're absolutely delighted by this prestigious award for the Nissan Navara. Thanks to a combination of improved comfort, performance and rugged capability, the latest updates reinforce Navara's position as the ultimate working tool."
Updated in 2019, an array of upgraded technologies ensure the Nissan Navara is top of the class in the pick-up truck sector, alongside an industry-leading 5-year / 100,000 mile warranty as standard.
A more efficient engine, all-new six speed manual transmission and upgraded suspension improve the ride, handling and comfort of the vehicle. The revised suspension also increases the payload capacity and, thanks to Intelligent Trailer Sway Assist technology, towing has never been so confident.
The updated version also introduces the NissanConnect Services app*, featuring a telematics control unit and built-in 4G device that allows data to be shared without a separate phone connection. Embedded TomTom Maps combine with over-the-air updates to ensure mapping is accurate in real time, alongside live traffic information, 3D maps, weather information and Google Satellite and Street View.
The app also includes remote horn and light control and remote vehicle locator. The new system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, delivering the seamless connectivity expected by today's consumers.
